The curse will be removed from the evil obstinate, tap soon. The trail conditions are excellent at Mohican. Fair warning, You will be kicking yourself if you don't show. Racers NOTE: 4th annual Midwest MTB Regional Championship November 7 at the Iceman Cometh Challenge: All potential OMBC division winners are eligable for a chance to compete in the Midwest Mountain Bike Championship as an OMBC representative. There are many more divisions at Iceman than the 18 of OMBC. As a result, many more can go and OMBC is eeking additional representatives to fill as many positions as possible. Complete information and registration forms are available now at www.usmtb.org Even if you are not a division winner but would like to represent the state of Ohio and OMBC at this event, print/fill out an Iceman registration form and bring it with you to the next OMBC event or mail to: OMBC, PO Box 97, Butler, OH, 44822 before October 24. Representatives will be chosen at the OMBC Championship Race on October 25 at Mohican Wilderness. The Course: The crowning achievement of the Malabar/Mohican Bicycle Club, a continious 25 mile loop through the Mohican State Forest. This is the best singletrack in Ohio, come out and enjoy it this fall. Like the Mohican MTB100, The race will begin and finish at Mohican Adventures on State Rt. 3, located next to the Mohican State Park. Novice Racers: Will complete the 5 mile beginners loop Novice racer's at Westbranch requested that the novice race include two laps on the short course at Mohican State Park rather than one short lap. Sport Racers: A vote was taken among sport racers at Westbranch to determine whether to include the entire 24 mile loop or a shortened loop. Vote Results: Sport Racer's at Westbranch voted overwhelmingly to complete one full loop, the same distance as Pro/Expert, Vet Open and Singlespeed Classes. Distances: Add 1 mile total for out and back From Mohican Adventures start/finish Expert, Vet Open, Singlespeed, and Sport Class Racers: Will complete the entire 24.5 mile loop Novice Class: Will complete two laps on the 5 mile beginners loop Check out the Spoke Junkies review here.
