. Breakfast Saturday Morning? Rader's Restaurant, along the paved bike trail on State Rt. 3 between Mohican Adventures and downtown loudonville, will be open at 5am on Saturday morning. Rader's features eggs, pancakes and all the hearty breakfast food you need to roll 100 miles! McDonald's will also be open early. RACE START for the 2010 Mohican MTB100:  The Mohican Mountain Bike 100 will start at 7AM in downtown Loudonville again this year. Registration, Packet Pickup and new race finish will be at Mohican Adventures, located about a mile from the race start. There is a new bridge and fresh paved bike path leading directly from Mohican Adventures to the race start in downtown Loudonville.
The town of Loudonville is really getting behind our event and offered to block off the main roads so there will be no traffic concerns for racers from the start of the race until racers enter the trails at Mohican Adventures. The race will begin beneath the large MTB100 banner spanning Main Street.
A printable map displays available nearby parking (click here) in church and school parking lots located next to the race start area. The schools restrooms will be open beginning at 5am and several portalets will also be located next to the start area. Can you say PREEEEM?! The first racer to reach the city limits of Loudonville after the race start will receive a $200 reward courtesy of the Loudonville Convention and Visitors Bureau and Kim's Bikes of Loudonville. And Hey, As long as you are at the aid stations, why not help out? Ask the aid station captains what you can do. Volunteers will receive a meal ticket from the aid station captain for the post race mongolian BBQ. Aid 1: Trailhead 2, Off SR 97 State Forest: Head south on SR 3, past Mohican State Park entrance, to SR 97, (approx 2 miles) turn right, about 3 miles to the second park rd. Turn right at the Horse Day Use area, and less than ¼ mile at the split in the road, veer to the right. About 1 block, turn right into the MTB trail parking area. Racer's will begin to reach aid one by 8:30am. Aid 2, Buckhaven: For safety reasons, this aid station is off limits to crews/spectators. Failure to comply may result in disqualification of racer. Aid 3, Mohican Wilderness Trail Head: Head south on SR3. Just past Dollar General , before Mohican State Park entrance, and across from the Little Brown Inn, turn LEFT on Wally road. Follow Wally Rd SOUTH for about 9 miles to Mohican Wilderness Campground Area. Continue past the camp entrance about 1 mile farther to Vess Road. Aid station is on the corner. Note: Everything here is “Mohican” make sure you look for Mohican “Wilderness”. New this year, 100 mile racers will pass through twice making a return trip to aid 3 from aid 4. Aid 4, Glenmont Park: From Aid station three, continue SOUTH on Wally Rd to dead end in Greer. LEFT on 514 to 520, approx 3 miles. RIGHT on 520, 5.4 miles to the town of Glenmont. Aid station is in the park on the right just before bridge. CAREFUL, the local authority's are watchin' out there! And the roads are twisty! Please patronize the local ice cream shop a few blocks past the park on the right. You can’t miss it! Not much there, but check out the locally made dairy products! Aid 5, St Rt 3 MTB Trail Head: Head SOUTH on St Rt 3 out of Loudonville to the Mohican State Park entrance, past Wally rd but before SR97. Please use mountain bike parking on the left, across from the park entrance. This is also a good spectator area after the start of the race. Racers will reach the trailhead within 15 minutes of the start. SUPPORT CREWS TAKE NOTICE: THIS IS A SELF SUPPORTED EVENT. As always, no feeds outside of the aid stations!! Doing so may result in disqualification of racer!!Crews are not allowed to follow racers along the course!FAILURE TO COMPLY MAY RESULT IN THE RACER’S DISQUALIFICATION. Principle: A level playing field Rule: Racers are not allowed to accept parts, including wheel sets and spare bikes, or any supplies not available to ALL racers from support crews and/or spectators at ANY time. This includes aid stations that allow crew access. Only parts and/or supplies included in drop bags will be allowed or cables, tubes, tires, etc offered by aid station volunteers to ALL racers. RACERS RECEIVING SPARE PARTS, BIKES, WHEEL SETS ETC. FROM SUPPORT CREWS MAY BE DISQUALIFIED. PLEASE RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHO MAKE THIS RACE POSSIBLE. NO SPEEDING ON BACK DIRT ROADS. No parking on SR97 at the horsetrail crossing!! Failure to comply may result in a traffic citation issued by park officers. . Please include all registration information from the racer replacing you. Maps: A Course map will be available on race day. Please note that the Mohican MTB 100 race course is not the same race course as the Mohican Trail 100 run that is held on public land. The MTB100 and 100k are both a full loop that connects through many private properties. Most of these private property trails are strictly off limit to the public, other than on race day. Please do not ride those sections of the course and protect those property owners from poaching so that our privilege to ride continues. Course changes will be made to the last 7 miles of the race as a result of the new finish location at Mohican Adventures. Suggestions: Racers can ride the 24 mile loop at the Mohican State Forest, click on mohican S.F. trail map located on the main page. You can also ride anytime or race at OMBC #1 at Mohican Wilderness on April 18. Much of the race course is included. Lodging:Camping and Cabins are available at Mohican Adventures, a full service campground serving as race headquarters this year. There is a small fee for primitive camping. Hookups also available for RV's. Reservations are recommended. MTB100 DRIVING DIRECTIONS: Mohican Adventure's is located approximately one and a half miles south of historic downtown Loudonville on State Route 3. FROM CLEVELAND - Take I-71 South to Exit # 173 (Mansfield / Lucas exit) to St. Rt. 39. Go East to Loudonville, approximately 18 miles. In town, take St. Rt. 3 South about 1.5 miles to Mohican Adventures.
FROM CANTON - Take US Route 30 west to Wooster, then St. Rt. 3 South to Loudonville, approximately 20 miles. Follow St. Rt. 3 through Loudonville. Mohican Adventures will be about 1.5 miles south of town.
FROM TOLEDO - Take US Route 75 South to US Route 30 East, then US Route 60 south to Loudonville. Pick up St. Rt. 3 south in Loudonville, follow that south of town 1.5 miles to Mohican Adventures.
FROM COLUMBUS - Take I-71 North to Exit #165 (Lexington / Bellville exit). Turn right onto St. Rt. 97. Go east approximately 20 miles, and 97 dead ends onto St. Rt. 3. Turn left on St. Rt. 3, come north past the Mohican State Park and it is about 1 mile to Mohican Adventures.
FROM AKRON - Take I-76 west to St. Rt. 21 south, 21 south to St. Rt. 585 south to Wooster. Pick up St. Rt. 3 south to Loudonville approximately 20 miles. There is approx. 11,000 ft of vertical along the 100mile course, 350 feet at a time.
There have been a couple of minor course changes routing the race finish to Mohican Adventures. A revised elevation chart is not yet available. However, information about the course and changes will be available on the website soon. Note to racers regarding horses on the Blue trail: Horses may be traveling along a short section of the Blue Trail from the end of the snowmobile trail, crossing SR97 to CR3234. Although notices have been put up requesting that they avoid this section of trail until 1pm, this is a public horse trail. If you encounter a horse, YOU MUST, stop and walk your bike or pull your bike off the trail to allow them to pass. Horses often view moving bicycles as predators and can panic, causing a real danger to the rider! Be sure to talk to the horseman as you approach and as they pass since this will help put the horses at ease. If an incident occurs because of your neglect of this rule, you may be disqualified.

Participants MUST ID themselves with the Mohican MTB 100 Group to receive the Special Group Rate of $93.00 + Taxes = $104.86 per night (Friday 5/29/09 or Saturday 5/30/09) for a Standard Double Room.
